Something about the hand-tracking amuses me. Maybe it's just the proportions of the overall character, with his tiny hands and large head, almost like the Nendoroid shown in this video. Clearly taking the time to also track hand gestures was worth the extra effort, I was definitely paying attention to Steve's entire body language, not just the VTuber model's face.

Also great point about how anime can help us aspire to be better. My decision to work out daily pretty much came from watching one single episode of Hajime no Ippo the Fighting. At age 28. I don't know how sad it is that I am apparently still that impressionable at my current age, but at least in this case it inspired me to take better care of my health!

The hand-tracking really does add a lot, fascinating new technology...

As for those bunny suits, people do like bunny suits... visual aesthetics are definitely a high-ranking point in regard to the traits people want anime characters to have that they don't get as commonly in real life. And the will to wield a bunny suit. Who'd do that in the real world. Publicly. People are so confined compared to the animated counterparts... that's why we love 'em. It's a world that reflects not just the traits we want to see but the freedom we'd like to feel; the risks we'd like to take; a way we'd like to live where just nothing's out of bounds. Impossible perfection and possibilities.
